Mama's, have you heard of Newlie Co?
I just discovered this diaper bag and accessory making company and
Talk about holy cuteness batman!
Their diaper bags look like chic, big purses, but when you open them up, it reveals lots of diaper bag necessary organizing pouches!
So, I ordered one...shh, don't tell the hubs
(by the way, keep an eye out for beautiful photos once it arrives!!)
and I got this code for y'all to save 10%!

I mean, we carry these things around for years!

Just because we still need all of the space and pouches!

I'm not gonna lie, every time I go into Target and see a cute purse, I just look away. Because my purse carrying days are gone for now.

Nested Bean Zen Sack Review

I was so excited to try out this @nestedbean Zen sleep sack, I've always been curious to try a sleep sack! If Lily were younger, I absolutely would have tried the swaddle. Both of my kids enjoyed being swaddled as newborns. But I love the safety of it! Baby can still have a blanket without the worry of them suffocating. Lily is actually a decent sleeper, but boy does she fight it! She's very particular, she wants what she wants! But her sleep routine usually involves me laying next to her, snuggling. So I was really excited and curious to see what she'd think of these! The little egg on the front is slightly weighted to add a light pressure to feel like your hand is still there. Again, I was curious as to how that worked, worrying about the "weight" and it being on her chest as she slept. The pellets are actually really light, so once I checked out the sack, I was no longer concerned. I picked the bamboo fabric one, and boy is it soft! It also doesn't make her get too hot. She wore a sleeper, and the bamboo sack over that and seemed to be the perfect temp. The first night she wasn't bothered or impressed by the sack. But I noticed that she seemed to sleep a little deeper that night. After 2 more nights, she still fought sleep but did fall asleep a little quicker! All in all, it may not be a cure all for a fussy, sleepless baby, BUT I am impressed! Excellent quality and thought put into making the product. There's a zipper that runs along the sides and bottom to make those midnight diaper changes easier. And there are shoulder snaps to make changing easy. Especially if you have a poo-plosion (which we still do, you know the runny, breast milk poo explosions 😣 yeah...) And I can't get over how soft the fabric is! I'd feel totally comfortable putting her in that sans jammies, it's THAT soft!! And again, the comfort of knowing she can still be warm and snuggly without that worry of her getting the blanket up by her face and suffocating. All in all, I'd totally recommend it! Nested Bean is offering all of my followers 15% off!! Use the code KATIE15

Stained Concrete Patio

My mother-in-law was debating between tiling her back patio, or staining the concrete, she was really leaning towards tiling. But we were able to talk her out of it and tell her how staining is really the better choice. With tile, especially outside on your patio, you run a high risk of it cracking. From the grandchildren playing too roughly, or (and most likely) the ground shifting and settling. With the stain, if a crack does occur it won't be as noticeable as it would be with tile, but it's also a lot simpler to fix.

So my husband spent this past weekend staining my mother-in-law's back patio.
It took him about 3 days, due to waiting on drying times.

Day 1, he prepped and cleaned the concrete with Muriatic Acid,
Day 2, he put down the tape for the "grout" lines, and applied the stain, and
Day 3 he pulled up the tape and applied the sealer!!

It really was not hard at all! And he did a beautiful job!!

We used Valspar's Semi-Transparent, Exterior stain in "Vaquero Brown"

Along with a "Decks & More" sprayer that we bought at Lowe's.

Day 1 - Prep the concrete with Muriatic Acid

We used Beneath my Heart's patio makeover as a reference

Before the sealer was applied...

Applying the sealer...

Even the cat seems to enjoy the completed project!

What I Wore {Summer Tank & Fedora}

I don't really do the social media day's of the week thing:
#MCM (man crush Monday)
#WCW (woman crush Wednesday)
#TBT (throwback Thursday) or
#FBF (flashback Friday)

But today, I thought I'd give it a try ;)
So since it's Friday, let's do a #FBF #Flashbackfriday

This is an older outfit post, back from my Sweet Southern Souls days. Can you tell? :)
I've come a long way in just a short 5 months, huh!?!
But, I thought I'd refresh and re-post it here on Chic Little Mommy.

What I Wore {Maroon Blouse}

I just love this little maroon blouse, it's so light and airy! Perfect summer time blouse.
One of my favorite things about it, it's super light weight, but not see through!
Score! Seriously I have the hardest time finding thin blouses (to combat this crazy Texas summer heat!!) that are not see through! Because if I have to layer up my shirts, what's the point in wearing a thin/light weight blouse? Am I right? So I absolutely love that this shirt is thin and not see through!

This outfit post was again taken in the cutest little town square in Indiana! I just couldn't get enough of it! They had some adorable little shops and the best places to take photos!
